Churches continue to struggle with the complicated issue of how to provide benefits – particularly health insurance – to staff members. These issues have been further complicated in recent years by changes in the law that have made some prior options obsolete.

On Thursday, October 12, I am hosting a webinar for churches to provide a practical and helpful update on where the law stands and what options are available to churches. I will discuss the current status of the ACA and applicable rules for small groups (fewer than 50 employees), along with various options available to churches regarding coverage for staff members and what tax rules apply to coverage options. I will also cover a new option for small employers to reimburse individual health insurance on a tax-free basis - the Qualified Small Employer Health Reimbursement Arrangement (“QSEHRA”).

This session is designed for church administrators, business personnel, and/or church staff.

This webinar is being done at the request of several church and ministry partners. I have extensive experience working with churches in the area of benefits and taxes, and my goal is to continue efforts to raise the level of education and knowledge among churches on these challenging topics.
