Question: Are expenses for massage therapy eligible under the Health FSA?

Answer:

Massage therapy is generally not eligible for reimbursement unless prescribed by a doctor to treat a specific injury or trauma.  The cost of a massage simply to improve general health is not eligible.  If prescribed to treat a specific condition, a physician's statement indicating the condition and treatment required should be submitted.
