Amounts expended for vitamins, nutritional and herbal supplements, and natural medicines will be reimbursable only if the substance is prescribed by a physician to treat a specific medical condition. A doctor's certification is required and must state the supplement by name and the medical condition for which it is intended to treat. This note is valid for one year from the date written.
