ProBenefits COBRA Administration
In addition to administration for FSA, HRA, and POP plans, ProBenefits offers full-service COBRA administration. ProBenefits COBRA includes an automated web product and full customer service and compliance support.
Method: The COBRA administration process is designed to be simple and efficient for employers. ProBenefits collects group health plan enrollment data from the employer and tracks eligibility and coverage based on employer reporting. ProBenefits generates and sends all required and elective COBRA notices to participants. Where applicable, ProBenefits collects COBRA premiums from participants and remits to the employer.
Client Service: ProBenefits COBRA is built on the client service model that has helped us thrive in benefits administration for 20 years. A single ProBenefits administrator handles all aspects of COBRA administration – a "single point of contact" for the employer. Additional members of the ProBenefits staff are available to assist with questions or other customer service needs. ProBenefits offers a dedicated COBRA website and online plan tracking to help administrators access the plan and report coverage changes easily and effectively.
Compliance: ProBenefits COBRA has three levels of compliance support: (1) a skilled and knowledgeable COBRA administrator who handles all aspects of day-to-day administration; (2) an advanced and automated administrative software system designed for COBRA administration; and (3) our in-house benefits attorney who assists the COBRA administrator, employers, and plan advisors. Jason Cogdill is trained and qualified on a full range of benefits issues – including ERISA and COBRA – and adds a significant compliance resource to the COBRA administration service.
